Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher Aid to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices mainly in assisting teacher and the curriculum head.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and assist in age-appropriate lesson plans that nurture children's growth and development.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all students.
• Encourage social interaction and cooperation among students to foster a sense of community.
• Observe and assess children’s progress, documenting their growth and development.
• Communicate openly and regularly with head and teacher about their child’s progress and challenges.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students.
• Maintain a clean and organised classroom environment.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops.
• Help teachers during mealtime.
• Monitor children in the play area and organise play activities.
• Assist the head in planning outdoor activities and support with art creations.
• Assist admin with managing transport and attendance.
• Actively involve in pick-up and drop-off services.
• Manage health and safety guidelines and ensure cleaning staff complete the daily routine checklist.

Qualifications:

Any bachelor degree, Elementary Education, or a related field.

• Experience working with preschool-aged children.
• Strong understanding of childhood development theories and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children.
